Changes
to Online Registration System Take Place May 15
Thank you so much for using
our online registration system. The system helped busy Scout families
and leaders like you register and pay for Council events 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. It has also helped us reduce paperwork time in the
office.
To keep this system
efficient, we will be starting a few new changes on May 15:
1. Convenience
Fee: The council has to pay a vendor for each credit card
transaction we run through. A fee of $1.75 fee will be added for all
online transactions. Virtually all councils charge a similar convenience
fee for online transactions.
2. Online
Payment: All online registrations must be paid at the time they
are made. This will help reduce the risk of lost registrations and
double payment. You can use a credit card or Paypal account. If you wish
to pay with a check, please download the registration pdf and send it in
with your payment.
Register as a Group:
To help reduce confusion about who is attending events, we ask that unit
leaders register their entire group at the same time. Once done, your
receipt will show you the names that have been signed up and how many
t-shirts have been ordered. The system does allow individual
registrations; however, this data cannot be merged with unit
information.
Group registrations
would be especially helpful for large council events such as Cub Scout
weekends and Cub Scout resident camp. Individual registrations work well
for smaller events such as Cub Scout day camp.
