Feedback
I
want to let you know that Mark with the waterfront has
been outstanding. He has a GREAT attitude, personality and
really shows that he cares. I do not know of the words to
describe how well he has interacted with the boys. As a
parent and not a den leader, just helping out, I wanted
you to know my thoughts. I have been a school teacher in
the past, and he is a good teacher.
- Marvin Craddock, Pack 77
I
wanted to take a minute to tell you of my Troop’s
experience at Summer Camp this year.
We
(Troop 12) attended the last week of Summer Camp, as
we have for the past 12 or 15 years and were extremely
impressed.
Usually
on the last week it is obvious that the staff members
are
ready to get home, and they are usually acting that way.
This year was far from that. Up
through
closing campfire, ALL staff members were extremely
energetic and having fun. I think the "having
fun" piece is what may have been missing in the past.
Every leader’s
meeting, flag
ceremony
and campfire began when they were supposed to start - a
big change
from what I
am used to at Summer Camp which impressed me greatly.
At
first I
must say that I
was not thinking that the skate park or BMX track would be
popular with my boys, but to my delight, they were there
every time it was open. In fact, two of my boys won
the skateboard competition and one won the BMX
competition. Also the allowance to ride bikes was nice as
most of my boys participated in all of the extra
activities that were offered because
they
did not have to walk to them.
Hogan
did a wonderful job making sure our needs were taken care
of (actually we really didn’t have anything break this
year).
Lastly
I must mention the WONDERFUL job that Tyler did as
director. The time and effort he put into planning and
carrying out his plan were very obvious. He is a leader
that my boys like and respect. The events he had planned
(Top Troop Challenge) had my boys excited everyday, where
in years past they just preferred
to lay
around and nap.
See
you Summer of ’08.
